Get free from the world’s prescription of what you should eat or drink or what your body should look like. By inviting the Lord into all areas of your life – specifically your food choices – you can learn to trust your hunger and fullness cues and see your body as God sees it.

Key Points

Your body is good. Food is good. And, learning to trust yourself with good things is exactly what God wants for you.

We focus on the results that matter – the health of your heart, mind and soul – not your weight or any results a scale can measure.

Shame off you!

Food is not the boss of me.

We trust God with the needs of our bodies – including food and movement.

We don’t bow down to the demands of diet culture, we bow down to the Creator of heaven and earth!

We have better things to do than be obsessed with what we eat.

We do not judge others for what they eat. We are not defined by what we eat.

Scripture

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20

“for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8

“‘All things are lawful for me,’ but not all things are helpful. ‘All things are lawful for me,’ but I will not be dominated by anything.” 1 Corinthians 6:12

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
